EHS Girls Second In Triangular Track Meet

SALEM -- Effingham High School finished second in a triangular girls track meet at Salem High School Monday.

Mount Vernon won with 85.5 points followed by Effingham 36.5 and Salem 31.

Effingham's Cordes claimed the 3200 run with a time of 13:59 minutes. Kohman won the 100 hurdles in 18.10 seconds.

The Hearts nabbed two field events. Myers won the discus with a throw of 87 feet, 1 inch. Taylor claimed the pole vault with a height of 7 feet, 3 inches.
