EHS Boys Win Teutopolis Invitational, Girls Finish Second

(A CHILLED BUT HAPPY EFFINGHAM BOYS TRACK TEAM AFTER CAPTURING THE TEUTOPOLIS INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP)

Effingham High School had a good day at the Teutopolis Invitational Track and Field Meet Friday; the boys won their meet, while the girls finished second.

The boys results: EFFINGHAM 114, Newton 107, Cumberland 66, Altamont 65, Fairfield 64, Charleston 58, Teutopolis 53, Paris 31

The girls results: Charleston 129, EFFINGHAM 106 1/2, Newton 89, Teutopolis 75, Robinson 72, Casey-Westfield 35, Fairfield 28, Altamont 15, Paris 7, Cumberland 1 1/2

On the boys' side, Effingham got a first place finish from Terrance Hill in the 100 in 11.21; from Sean Zerrusen in the 400 in 52.68; from Patrick Siner, Sean Zerrusen, Terrance Hill and Jacob Donaldson in the 4X400 in 3:39.75; from Patrick Siner, Jacob Donaldson, Kaleb Kihne and Tyler Homann in the 4X800 in 8:51.73; from Terrance Hill in the high jump at six feet; and from Terrance Hill in the long jump at 20 feet, 5 1/2 inches.
