Jamie Michl Fourth in 800 Meters

The Millikin track and field team opened its 2016 season March 19.    

At Butler University’s Stan Lyon Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Big Blue turned in several strong performances against the Division I field.  

Michaela Ponstein (Oswego, H.S.) finished in third place in the 400 Meters in 1:01.27.  Ponstein’s time was ninth fastest in school history. The Big Blue’s Jordan McCall was third in the Men’s 400 Meters in 50.47 seconds.

Sarah Bradley (Decatur, MacArthur H.S.) finished in fourth in the 1500 meters in 4:48.70, which is the third fastest time in Big Blue history.

Millikin’s Jamie Michl (Newton, H.S.) was fourth in the 800 Meters in 2:18.82.

Big Blue freshman Erin Lukens (Johnston City, Herrin H.S.) was fifth in the 100 Meter Hurdles in 16.94 seconds.  Her time was seventh fastest in school history.
