T-town Wins Boys, Girls Seven-Team Track Meets

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School claimed both boys and girls seven-team track meets Thursday.

T-town was a winner in the girls meet with 225 points followed by Altamont 121, Patoka 52.5, Stewardson-Strasburg 52, Windsor 26, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 19.5 and Brownstown/St. Elmo 10.

The Wooden Shoes' Shanna Niebrugge picked up two victories, winning the 800 in 2:35.76 minutes and the 1600 in 5:55.70. Rachel Westendorf also was a double event winner. Westendorf picked up the 300 hurdle in 52.26 seconds and the long jump at 15 feet, 10 1/2 inches.

The Wooden Shoes nabbed all four relay events. The Shoes won the 400 in 53.32, the 800 in 1:52.28, the 1600 in 4:22.42 and the 3200 in 10:48.14.

Anna Hartke won the high jump at 5 feet. Hannah Bueker claimed the pole vault at 10-9. Michelle Schmidt won the triple jump at 31-1. Sarah Willey picked up the discus win with a throw of 94-8 1/2.

Altamont's Leah Goldstein was a double event winner. Goldstein won the 100 in 13.51 seconds and the 200 in 27.61. McKenzie Goldstein claimed the 400 in 1:05.03. Kaitlyn Hoene claimed the 3200 in 12:35.94. Hannah Wolff tallied a win in the shot with a throw of 31-10 1/2.

Windsor's Bean was a winner in the 100 hurdles in 18.05.

In the boy's meet, Teutopolis won with 192 points followed by Altamont 96, Patoka 77, Stewardson-Strasburg 54, Windsor 43, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 36 and Brownstown/St. Elmo 14.

Scott Isley claimed two wins for the Wooden Shoes. Isley won the 800 in 2:12.01 and the 1600 in 4:56.59. Other Wooden Shoes winners were Lucas Probst in the 3200 in 10:56.70, Riley Drees in the 300 hurdles in 40.97. Noah Blievernicht in the 110 hurdle in 17.36. Andrew McWhorter in the pole vault at 13-0 and Evan Schlink in the shot with a throw of 35-8 1/2.

The Shoes also won two relay events, taking the 1600 in 4;00.92 and the 3200 in 9:27.10.

Altamont's Logan Deadmond won the 400 in 55.04 and Wyatt Stone captured the triple jump at 38-4 1/2.

Alby Rayo Moreno was a winner in the high jump at 5-8 for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City. Chandler Ballinger won the long jump for Stewardson-Strasburg with a leap of 18-3. The discus went to Brock Oberlink of Brownstown/St. Elmo in 122-0.
