Keller, Slaughter Capture Firsts For Bulldogs In Tuscola Girls Track Open

TUSCOLA -- Central A&M captured the team championship of the Tuscola Girls Track Open Saturday with 121 points followed by Jamaica 104, Marshall 57.34, Neoga 57, Effingham St. Anthony 52.5, Sullivan 48, Tuscola 41.17, Arthur 34, Cumberland 13, Arcola 12, Decatur Lutheran 6, Deland-Weldon 3 and Blue Ridge 1.

St. Anthony's Anna Sophia Keller claimed two first place finishes in the meet. Keller, a sophomore, won the 1600 run with a time of 5:00.56 minutes. She also broke the tape in the 3200 with a time of 10:36.25 minutes.

Keller also was a member of the 1600 relay team that finished second for the Bulldogs along with Falconburg, Ragland and Slaughter in 4:20.39.

Slaughter captured a first place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 10 feet, 8 inches.

Neoga's Olivia Ott took first in the triple jump at 33-4 1/2 and second in the long jump at 16-4. The 3200 relay team finished second for the Indians in 10:36.99 while the 800 relay team also was second in 1:52.93.
