Teutopolis Junior High Track Team Compete at Little Trojan Invitational.

CHARLESTON -- The Teutopolis seventh and eighth grade girls’ track teams both captured first places this past Saturday at the eight-team Little Trojan Invitational held at Charleston track. The seventh-grade girls finished with 100 points and the eighth-grade girls finished with 113.

The four squads together placed second overall with a total of 286. They were paced by the the eighth-grade girls who scored 113 points and the seventh-grade girls scored 100 points. The eighth-grade boys scored 31 points finishing sixth and the seventh-grade boys scored 42 points finishing fifth.

Top finishers for the seventh-grade girls team were the 800 relay team made up of Claire Bushur, Karsyn Mette, Diana Mossman and Abby Bloemer, Myah Funneman third in the hurdles, Morgan Repking sixth in the 100, Ciara Roepke sixth in the 1600 and sixth in pole vault, 400 relay team of Morgan Repking, Ciara Roepke, Kelsey Deters and Myah Funneman took fifth, Claire Bushur second in the 400 and first in the shot, Abby Cothran sixth in the 400, second in high jump and fourth in the pole vault, Morgan Repking and Abby Bloemer fifth and sixth in the 200, Ashley Thompson and Mattie Thoele second and third in the 800, the 1600 relay team of Karsyn Mette, Abby Bloemer, Ciara Roepke and Claire Bushur placed second. Leah Schumacher finished fifth in the shot and sixth in discus, Holly Heuerman finished fifth in the discus, Karsyn Mette and Morgan Repking finished first and fourth in the long jump.

Top eighth-grade girls finishers included Julia Schmid and Logan Blankenship third and fifth in hurdles, Lanae Koester and Morgan Mette first and third in the 100, Savannah Grimes first in the 1600, 800 relay team of Julia Hardiek, Elizabeth Will, Morgan Mette and Lanae Koester took first, the 400 relay team of Julia Schmid, Savannah Grimes, Savanna Gebben and Rebecca Habing placed third, Rebecca Habing fourth in the 400, Savannah Grimes took third in the 800 and the 1600 relay team of Elizabeth Will, Savannah Grimes, Morgan Mette and Rebecca Habing placed first, Emma Deters took first in the shot and discus and Caitlin McKibben placed sixth in discus. Julia Hardiek took first in high jump while Elizabeth Will placed second and Morgan Mette won the pole vault.

Scoring for the seventh-grade boys were Wade Probst second in the mile and third in the 800, Alex Deters third in the 1600 and second in the 800, the 1600 relay team of Kendall Tabbert, Will Ruholl, Alex Deters and Wade Probst placed fifth, Paul Esker third in high jump, Kendall Tabbert fourth in pole vault and Robert Lowrance took sixth in pole vault.

Top finishers for the eighth-grade boys include Jarrett Hardiek third in the mile and fourth in the 800, Noah Probst fifth in the mile, the 800 relay team of Bryce Ruholl, Kendal Zerrusen, Donovan Kitten and Kyele Mossman finished third, The 400 relay team of Tyler Runde, Lucas Drees, Josh Hardiek and Dawson Smith placed sixth. Josh Hardiek was sixth in the 200, the 1600 relay team of Kendal Zerrusen, Josh Hardiek, Dawson Smith and Tyler Runde placed third, Jacob Reisner took sixth in discus, Bryce Ruholl took sixth in high jump, Dawson Smith took fifth in long jump and Donovan Kitten and Trenton Hoelscher took fifth and sixth in pole vault.
