Keller Wins at U of I Track Meet, St. A Boys at Charleston

CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham St. Anthony High School's Anna Sophia Keller captured first place in the University of Illinois Gene Armor Girls Track Invitational Saturday.

Keller won the 3200 with a meet record time of 10:55.83 minutes.

Teammate Kristin Slaughter placed third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 10 feet, 6 inches.

60 Meter Hurdles -- Sara Ragland, 13.75

200 Meter Dash -- Emily McDevitt, 31.15

400 Meter Dash -- Elizabeth Falconburg, 1:09.34

800 Meter Run -- Maddi McWhorter, 3:03.96

1600 Meter Run -- Emily Wortman, 7:49.17

800 Meter Relay -- Aly Esker, Emily McDevitt, Sara Ragland, Kristin Slaughter, 2;01.15

3200 Meter Relay -- Maddi Tegeler, Emily Wortman, Avery Elder, Maddi McWhorter, 13:03.39

High Jump -- Maddi Tegeler, 4-4

 

At Charleston

The St. Anthony boys squad competed in the Charleston Indoor Invitational at Eastern Illinois University along with other area teams, Effingham, Newton and Teutopolis. Only the St. Anthony results were turned in to the radio station.

Andrew Gardewine captured first place in the 800 with a time of 2:04.13 minutes. Sam Wortman finished sixth in the pole vault at 11 feet, 6 inches while the 3200 relay team of Mitchell Sager, Clayton Helmink, Peter Keller and Gardewine took sixth in 8:59.02 minutes.
