Jamie Michel Wins 800 at DePauw Track Invitational

The Millikin University men's and women's Indoor Track and Field team turned in a strong performance at the DePauw University Indoor Invitational on Feb. 14 in Greencastle, Indiana. The Millikin women were fifth out of 15 teams and the Big Blue men finished in sixth out of 14 teams.

In the women's competition, Millikin's Jasharra Clark (Lombard, Glenbard West H.S.) won the 200 Meters in 26.52, which was the fourth best performance all-time at Millikin.  Jennifer Parker (Libertyville, Vernon Hills H.S.) was fourth in 27.55 seconds.

Jamie Michl (Newton, H.S.) won the 800 Meters in 2:23.71.

Jaquelyn Bliss (Tolono, Unity H.S.), Parker, Clark and Michl teamed up to win the Women's 4x400 Relay in 4:15.74.

Emily Sawyer (Cerro Gordo, H.S.) was third in the Weight Throw with a toss of 13.70 meters (44-11.50).

Liz Wrobel (Tinley Park, Andrew H.S.) was fourth in the 3000 Meters in 11:15.50.

Isabelle Glimco (Naperville, Neuqua Valley H.S.) was fourth in the Pole Vault at 2.55 meters (8-4.25).

The Millikin men swept the relay events. Rodney Johnson (Homewood, Homewood Flossmoor H.S.), Bem Williams (Decatur, Maroa Forsyth H.S.), Richard Long (St. Louis, Missouri, Webster Groves H.S.) and Paul Selman (Glen Ellyn, Glenbard West H.S.) teamed up to win the 4x200 Relay in 1:32.47. The time ranks fourth all-time on the Millikin Indoor Track Performance list. Johnson, Jordan McCall (Illiopolis, Sangamon Valley H.S.), Trevor Crum (Heyworth, H.S.) and Selman teamed up to win the 4x400 Relay in 3:27.04, which ranks third on the all-time performance list.
 
Selman was second in the 60 Meters in 7.05 seconds, which is the third fastest all-time at Millikin.

Williams was fifth in the 200 Meters in 23.39 seconds and Long was seventh at 23.52.

McCall was fifth in the 400 Meters in 52.43 seconds.
