Race held in memory of Colin Woods

The 6th Annual Bulldog Challenge, held in memory of Colin Woods, son of Dan and Angela Woods of Effingham, will be held Saturday at 8am at St. Anthony High School.

The event is designed to raise funds for the St. Anthony Booster Club to fund activities and equipment needed for the track, cross country and soccer teams in which Colin was involved when he was in school.

Day of Race registration fee is $35 and will close at 7:30am Saturday.  A $100 prize will be paid to the overall male and female winners.  A registration form is available at www.stanthony.com. Shirts will be given to those who register tonight or tomorrow morning as long as supplies last.

Packet pick-up will be tonight from 6-8pm and Saturday morning from 6:30-7:30am in the St. Anthony Enlow Center for those who are pre-registered.  You're encouraged to pick up the packets and/or register tonight to avoid long lines tomorrow morning.

Organizers say there are currently close to 300 participants registered and they have a goal of 500 participants by race time tomorrow morning.

This would have been the year Colin Woods would have graduated with his undergraduate degree.  His family travels from all over the nation to come to Effingham for the race each year (close to 50 people).

Make checks payable to St. Anthony Booster Club.
