No State Finals for EHS Tracksters

The three Effingham High School athletes who competed in the preliminaries at the Boys State Track Meet Friday morning failed to advance to the finals.

Senior Marcus Robinson was unable to make the qualifying height in the high jump.  Junior Evan Boggs managed 48 feet, two inches in the shot put and they failed to qualify.  Sophomore Sean Zerrusen came the closest, just missing the finals in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.2.  As a comparison, another runner with a time of 1:59.13 made the finals.
