First Day of Class A Junior High State Track Meet in the Books

The first day of the Class A Junior High Track Meet in East Peoria resulted in a state championship for an area athlete.

Congratulations to Micah McWhorter of Sigel St. Michael, who won the 7th grade girls pole vault competition.  Micah won the championship with a vault of 8' 6".  

7th grade girls Pole Vault also saw a second place finish for Grace Hakman of St. Anthony and a fourth place finish for Katherine Slaughter of St. Anthony.
