A Win For St. Anthony, a Loss For Effingham in Tennis Action Thursday

St. Anthony picked up an 8-1 victory over Mt. Zion.

Mia Kinkelaar won the number two singles 6-3, 6-2. Liv Hoene had a 6-4, 6-1 win in the number 3 singles. The number 4 singles went to Julia Schultz 7-5, 6-2. Ellie Link won the number 5 singles 6-1, 6-0. Nora Trupiano picked the win 6-2, 6-0 in the number 6 singles.

It was a clean sweep for the Bulldogs in doubles competion with wins in the number 1 doubles for Kinkelaar and Link 1-6, 6-3, 10-6, number 2 doubles for Hoene and Trupiano won 3-6, 6-4, 10-5 , and Greene and Schultz won the number 3 doubles 6-3, 6-2.

 

Olney (Richland County) defeated Effingham 7-2.

In singles:

Number 1  McKenna Snider, Olney defeated Kristen Armstrong, Effingham 3-8.

Number 2 Claire Uhl, Olney  defeated Addy Hemrich, Effingham 2-8.

Number 3 - Raley Inskeep, Olney defeated Eva Wendling, Effingham 3-8.

Number 4 - Ava Rogers, Effingham defeated Piper Berger, Olney  8-7 (4)

Number 5 - Annara Cox, Olney (Richland County) defeated Makenna Smith, Effingham 2-8.

Number 6 - Karlee Bissey, Olney (Richland County) defeated. Emma Knaus, Effingham 3-8.


In Doubles Play
