Weekend Girls Tennis Results

Teutopolis defeated Morton 6-3 Friday in the Heather Bradshaw Invitational, hosted by Edwardsville High School. In the semifnals of the Challengers I bracket, Teutopolis beat Highland 6-3. That moved the Shoes into the championship match in their flight where they lost to University High 3-6. 

In the Morton match, Anna Probst, Abbie Lee, Adi Davidson, Lily Stortzum and Ella Wermert won in #1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 singles and Anna Probst and Adi Davidson won in #1 doubles.

In the Highland match, Anna Probst, Lily Stortzum, and Ella Wermert won in #1, 4, and 5 singles and Anna Probst and Ella Wermert, Allie Ruholl and Adi Davidson, and Katelyn Frese and Abbie Lee swept the doubles.

In the Normal U High match, Abbie Lee and Ella Wermert won the #2 and 6 singles and Adi Davidson and Allie Ruholl won the #2 doubles.

St. Anthony finished second in the 16-team Sacred Heart Griffin Invitational Saturday with 27 points, three points behind Alton.

In #1 doubles, Mia Kinkelaar and Ellie Link finished second.

In #2 doubles, Liv Hoene and Nora Trupiano won top honors.

In #3 doubles, Ivy Daiber and Gabby Hoene also finished first.
