Wooden Shoes Win Robinson Tennis Tourney

The Wooden Shoes tallied 12 points to capture the title followed by Effingham St. Anthony 11, Paris 9.5, Robinson 8, Effingham 7.5, Richland County (Olney) 2.5, Newton 2 and Casey-Westfield 0.

St. Anthony's Manaye Mossman and Evan Mossman were the champions in Flight 1. The pair won over a Casey-Westfield duo, 7-5, 6-3 then downed T-town's Colin Habing and Josh Habing, 6-3, 6-4. The two Mossmans then defeated a Paris duo, 6-1, 6-0 for the title.

T-town's C. Habing and J. Habing captured third place over a Robinson pair, 7-5, 6-1.

Teutopolis won Flight 2 as Oliver Lee and Noah Thompson combined for the title. The pair won their first match over Olney, 6-2, 4-6, 10-3. The pair then downed a Robinson duo, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the title match. In that contest they took on a Paris duo and won, 6-4, 6-2.

St. Anthony's duo of Wegman and Trupiano finished third. The pair beat Casey-Westfield 3-0 that retired then fell to a Paris pair, 1-6, 6-4, 6-10. They then took third place when a Robinson pair defaulted.

Effingham claimed the championship of Flight 3. The pair of Cannon Bockhorn and Rece Kinney downed an Olney pair, 6-4, 6-0 then won over St. Anthony's Jackson Schultz and Connor Eggars 7-6 (5), 6-3. The pair then downed a Robinson duo, 6-0, 1-0 default.

T-town's Will Lewis and Collins won their opener over a Paris pair, 6-3, 6-7 (4), 10-4 then fell to a Robinson pair, 1-6, 7-5, 10-8. The Wooden Shoes then beat St. Anthony's Schultz and Eggars, 7-5, 6-1 for third place.
