T-town Beats EHS, Highland Edges St. A In Tennis

The Wooden Shoes swept through singles play as Kolten Tabbert won at the top spot, 6-2, 6-4 while Colin Habing took No. 2, 6-0, 6-2. Oliver Lee was a 6-1, 6-2 winner and Carter Davidson won 6-3, 6-3. Myles Stortzum downed his opponent 6-1, 6-4 and Will Lewis finished with a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

In doubles play, Lee and Noah Thompson were winners, 6-3, 7-5. The two Habings combined to win 6-4, 6-1. Tabbert and Lewis won over their opponents 6-2, 6-3.

Effingham St. Anthony traveled to Highland and fell to the homestanders, 5-4 Tuesday.

Manaye Mossman took the No. 1 singles spot by a 7-5, 7-5 count. Connor Eggers was a 6-2, 2-1 retired winner at No. 5.

In doubles play, the Bulldogs won the No. 1 position as M. Mossman and Evan Mossman combined. They fell in the opening set 6-2 but rallied to win 6-3, 10-7. Eggers and Jackson Schultz pulled out a victory in a hard-fought battle at No. 3. the pair won 6-4 then fell in the second set 6-4 before winnig the match 10-8.
