Paris High School came calling and handed Effingham a 6-3 loss in tennis competition Friday.

The Hearts picked up two singles victories as Evan Pryor won at No. 4, 6-3, 6-1 and Rece Kinnery claimed No. 5, 7-5, 7-6 (8).

In doubles play, Blayne Pals and Ross Schaefer combined at the top spot to win 6-0, 6-3.

No. 2 -- Marcus Mitchell (P) defeated Cannon Bockhorn (E), 6-4, 6-2

No. 4 -- Evan Pryor (E) defeated Hudson David (P), 6-3, 6-1

No. 5 -- Rece Kinnery (E) defeated Eli Brinkerhoff (P), 7-5, 7-6 (8)

No. 6 -- Devin Milner (P) defeated Blake Hagler (E), 6-2, 6-3
