Manaye Moss/Aidan Tegeler Reach Consy Quarterfinals At State Tennis

Aidan Tegeler and Manaye Mossman show off winning at sectional play to head to the State Tournament where the pair picked up five victories before being eliminated.

Effingham St. Anthony's Manaye Mossman and Aidan Tegeler reached the consolation quarterfinals at the Class 1A State Tennis Tournament before ending their stay.

The pair lost their first round match, 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 to drop into the consolation round Thursday. The pair then went on a five-match winning streak. In the first consolation round, they won, 6-0, 6-1 then took a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the second round. In the third round, the pair won 7-5, 6-4.

In the fourth round, Mossman and Tegeler were 6-3, 1-6 (10-8) winners. That pushed them into the fifth round where they were 6-4, 6-2 winners.

Then in the consolation quarterfianls, the pair lost to Daniel Shchebalev and Aarush Vora ov Ernon Hills, 6-4, 6-4.
