St. Anthony Falls To Casey-Westfield In Tennis

CASEY -- Effingham St. Anthony fell to Casey-Westfield by a 5-4 count in tennis competition Tuesday.

The two teams split singles victories. St. Anthony's Manaye Mossman was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at the top spot. Aidan Tegeler won at No. 2, 6-2, 6-3. Evan Mossman then captured No. 3, 6-1, 6-3.

In doubles play, M. Mossman and Tegeler were 6-2, 6-3 winners but the Warriors captured the next two spots for the victory.

The Bulldogs dropped to 8-2 on the season. St. Anthony is back in action Thursday taking on crosstown rival Effingham in a 4:30 p.m. match.

No. 1 -- M. Mossman-Tegeler (SA) defeated Crespo-Tutewiler (CW), 6-2, 6-3

No. 2 -- Wright-Richardson (CW) defeated E. Mossman-Herzing (SA), 0-6, 6-3, 10-8

No. 3 -- Sullivan-Kaiden Spraker (CW) defeated Eggars-Schultz (SA), 6-4, 6-2
