Teutopolis High School captured a 7-2 victory over Effingham in girls tennis action Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes were winners in five of the six singles matches.

Olivia Hemmen won at No. 1, 6-4, 7-5 while Julian Hemmen took the No. 2 spot, 3-6, 6-0, 10-8. Josie Drees won at No. 4, 6-1, 7-6 while Anna Probst was a No. 5 winner, 6-4, 6-1 and Jada Buehnerkemper finished out at No. 6, winning, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8.

In doubles play, O. Hemmen and Probst combined to win, 6-4, 6-2 and Ella Wermert and Kelsey Niemerg won 6-1, 6-4.

Effingham's two points were by Izzy Volpi at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-2 and Madison Mapes and Gracie Kroenlein at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 6-2.
