EHS, T-Town Both Nab 7-2 Tennis Wins

Effingham High School handed Shelbvyille a 7-2 tennis loss Tuesday.

The Hearts' Thad Dillow won at No. 1 singles by blanking his opponent, 6-0, 6-0. Preston Siner was a winner at No. 4, 6-2, 6-2. Evan Pryor took the No. 5 victory, 6-0, 6-1 and Ross Schafer won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

Shelbvyille's two points came in singles play.

In doubles action, Tyler Nohren and Siner combined at the No. 1 spot for a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Pryor and Schafer were winners at No. 2, 6-0, 6-0. The No. 3 spot went to Blake Hagler and Nate Braun, 6-1, 6-0.

At Effingham

No. 1 -- Thad Dillow (E) defeated Owen Heddrich (SV), 6-0, 6-0

No. 2 -- Matthew Grabb (SV) defeated Blayne Pals (E), 6-1, 7-5

No. 3 --  Carter Anderson (SV) defeated Tyler Nohren (E), 1-6, 6-4, 12-10

No. 4 -- Preston Siner (E) defeated Jack McClain (SV), 6-2, 6-2

No. 5 -- Evan Pryor (E) defeated Bryson Ulmer (SV), 6-0, 6-1

No. 6 -- Ross Schaefer (E) defeated Garrett Endsley (SV), 6-0, 6-0

Doubles

No. 1 --  Nohren-Siner (E) defeated Owen Rice-McClain (SV), 6-2, 6-1

No. 2 -- Pryor-Schaefer (E) defeated Albert Kirkbride-Connor Jennings (SV), 6-0, 6-0

No. 3 -- Blake Hagler-Nate Braun (E) defeated Tucker Kull-Vincent Thofte (SV), 6-1, 6-0

 

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis handed Robinson a 7-2 loss Tuesday.

The Wooden Shoes won five of the six singles spots and two doubles.

Colin Habing won at No. 1 by a 6-3, 6-2 count. Carter Davidson took the win at No. 2, 6-3, 6-0. Hayden Jansen won at No. 3, 6-4, 6-3. Kendall Schmidt claimed the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-2. Myles Stortzum also won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.

In doubles play, Kolten Tabbert and Ethan Thoele won 6-0, 6-2 at  No. 1. Josh Habing and C. Habing were 6-3, 6-1 winners at No. 2.

At Teutopolis
