T-town Competes In Robinson Tennis Tourney

ROBINSON --  Teutopolis High School finished third in the Robinson Doubles Tennis Tournament Saturday.

The No. 3 doubles team of Carter Davidson and Oliver Lee captured first place. The pair downed a team from Robinson, 6-1, 6-1 and won over an Olney squad, 6-1, 6-3. The duo then defeated a team from Mattoon, 6-3, 6-4 to take first.

The No. 2 doubles team of Colin Habing and Josh Habing took third place.

The pair downed Effingham's Tyler Nohren and Preston Siner, 6-1, 6-2. They fell to St. Anthony's Evan and Manaye Mossman, 1-6, 6-0 1-0 (9)  and then won over Mattoon's Porter/Pullman, 8-4.

The No. 1 doubles team of Kolten Tabbert and Ethan Thoele finished fourth. The pair defeated Effingham's Thad Dillow and Blayne Pals, 6-0, 3-6 1-0 (7) before losing to Aidan Tegeler and Henry Kemme of St. Anthony, 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (7). They fell to Newton's Ben and Isaac Street, 7-6, 6-0 to finish fourth.
