T-town Finishes Fifth at Alton Tennis Tourney

ALTON -- Teutopolis High School finished fifth out of eight teams in the Alton Doubles Tennis Tournament Saturday.

The highest finish for the Wooden Shoes was second place.

The No. 5 doubles team of Noah Thompson and Ryder Vahling took second. The pair defeated a University High duo, 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4), then downed a team from O'Fallon, 6-3, 6-4. The pair lost in the championship match, 6-2, 6-0 to a team from Dunlap.

Kolten Tabbert and Oliver Lee finished fourth at No. 2 doubles while the team of Carter Davidson and Kendall Schmidt, also claimed fourth, at No. 3.
