Flora Hands Effingham, 6-3 Loss In Tennis

FLORA -- Effingham traveled to Flora for high school tennis action but fell to the homestanding Wolves, 6-3 Tuesday.

Two of the victories for the Hearts came in singles play. Thad Dillow picked up the No. 1 win by beating Bobby Powless, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6.

In the No. 3 spot, Tyler Nohren won over Ollie Collins, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.

In doubles play, Dillow and Blayne Pals were winners over Powless and Lawson Spicer, 8-1.

The Hearts are back in action today hosting Paris at 4:30 p.m.

No. 1 -- Dillow-Pals (E) defeated Powless-Spicer (F), 8-1

No. 2 -- Sharp-Collins (F) defeated Nohren-Siner (E), 8-5

No. 3 -- Pietz-Pipher (F) defeated Pryor-Schaefer (E), 8-3
