O'Fallon Wins T-Town JV Tennis Tourney

O'Fallon tallied six points to win the Teutopolis Junior Varsity Tennis Tournament Saturday followed by Teutopolis 3 and Mount Zion 0.

There were six singles matches, three doubles and one exhbition doubles contested. O'Fallon won five of the six singles with the lone Teutopolis victory at the No. 5 spot by Jacob Mette over Arjiun Suri of O'Fallon, 4-6, 6-0,7-6 (8). Mette defeated Grant Gutweiler of Mount Zion 6-0, 6-0 to get to the finals.

Teutopolis showed much better in the doubles winning two of the three matches. Trevor Lee and Mette defeated Shre Patel and Riley Murea of O'Fallon in the No. 3 finals. Nick Pals and Nick Ruholl prevailed over Suri and Jon Garry of O'Fallon. O'Fallon won the No. 1 doubles over Mount Zion 6-2, 6-3.

Jared Apke and Ben Feldhake beat Grant Gutweiler and Ted Bowery of Mount Zion 6-1, 6-1 in exhibition doubles.
