EHS, T-town Nab Tennis Victories

Preston Siner and Isaiah Rubin held their opponents scoreless at No. 3 and No. 6, 6-0, 6-0.

Thad Dillow was a 6-0, 6-2 winner while Blayne Pals added a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Evan Pryor went 6-2, 6-2. Dane Seiler had the toughest match at No. 5. Seiler fell in the opener 7-5 but came back with a 6-1 win and claimed the match, 10-6.

In doubles play, Pals and Dillow blanked their opponents, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 while Seiler and Rubin took the same 6-0, 6-0 count at No. 3. Winning the No. 2 spot was Siner and Prryor, 6-1, 6-1.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis High School edged Flora, 5-4 in tennis action Monday.

The Wooden Shoes nabbed four of the six singles victories. Ethan Thoele was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at No. 3. Kolton Tabbert took the No. 4 spot by blanking his opponent, 6-0, 6-0. Hayden Jansen was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 6 and Ryder Vahling won at No. 6, Flora took the opener 6-3 but Vahling came back with 6-4, 1-0 (7) for the match.

In doubles play, the Shoes won at No. 2 as Carter Davidson and Thoele combined to take the match, 6-4, 6-3.
