Mount Zion High School blanked Effingham in tennis competition Wednesday, 9-0.

The Braves swept through singles as Lane Fehrenbacher, Will Shade, Rylee Gower, Riley Renfro, Alex Current and Evan Griffith picked up victories.

In doubles, Fehrenbacher combined with Renfro at No. 1 while Shade and Gower claimed No. 2. Current and Griffth won at No. 3.

No. 2 -- Will Shade (MZ) defeated Blayne Pals (E), 6-1 ,6-1

No. 4 -- Riley Renfro (MZ) defeated Preston Siner (E), 6-1 ,6-0
