Hearts Beat Braves in Tennis Competition

The Hearts won five of the six singles matches. Caroline Kull picked up a victory at No. 1, 7-5, 6-1. Riley Arend then took No. 2, 6-1, 6-3. Lydia Kull won at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0. Riley Seachrist continued the winning ways with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4. Eden Wendling took No. 5, 6-2, 6-1.
In doubles play, C. Kull and Arend won the top spot, 6-2, 2-6, 10-8. Gracie Kroenlein and Aila Woomer combined at No. 3, 6-0, 6-0.
"We had a conference match to start the week that ends with the tournament and it was a great start," said EHS Coach Erik Williamson."A solid performance all around by the girls. It's a busy week with homecoming as well as our schedule and the girls are ready to defend their title."
The Hearts play host to Casey-Westfield Thursday before taking part in the Apollo Conference Tournament Friday at Charleston.
