T-town Claims Tennis Match, St. A, Newton Fall

PARIS -- Teutopolis High School claimed a 6-3 victory over Paris in tennis competition Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes claimed four singles matches. Kyele Mossman won easily at No. 1 with 6-0, 6-1 scores. Seth Probst also had an easy time with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 3. Alex Deters and Mitch Deters followed in line with the top two. A. Deters won at No. 4, 6-3, 6-2 while M. Deters took the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, Jacob Pals and Probst combined for the win at No. 1. The pair fell in the opener 6-2 but came back strong with a 6-0 count and won the match 7-6.
The two Deters were winners at No. 2. The pair won the opener 6-1 but lost in the second contest 6-4. The pair then won the match 6-3.

At Casey
Effingham St. Anthony fell to Casey-Westfield in action Tuesday, 3-1.
The Bulldogs point came at the No. 2 spot as Will Kabbes won over Lucas Oakley, 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-3.
St. Anthony drops to 1-7 on the season.

At Newton
Robinson tallied a 4-1 win over Newton in tennis competition Tuesday.
The Maroons swept through singles play and took two of the three doubles matches.
Newton's win came at No. 1 doubles as Zach Dust and Sam Hemrich combined to win. The pair lost the opener 6-4 but battled back with 6-3, 10-6 counts for the match.
