Hearts Hand Robinson Tennis Loss

Effingham High School pushed its boys tennis record to 5-2 on the season with a 6-3 victory over Robinson Monday.

The Hearts claimed four of the six singles matches. Parker Siner won at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-3 count while Ben Donsbach took No. 3, 6-1, 6-2. Brennan Barr had a tough fight at No. 4, losing the opener 6-3, then coming back 7-5, 10-7. Noah Mulheron claimed the No. 6 spot with another hard-fought battle, 6-6 (9-7), 6-1.

In doubles, Siner and Donsbach contnued their winning ways together with a 6-3, 6-4 win. Nate Linders and Barr were winners at No. 2, 6-1, 6-0.

No. 5 -- Preston Ireland (R) defeated Colby Heaton (E), 6-1, 6-3

No. 6 -- Noah Mulheron (E) defeated will Hawkins (R), 6-6 (9-7), 6-1

Doubles

No. 1 -- Siner-Donsbach (E) defeated Buchanan-Rosbourough (R), 6-3, 6-4

No. 2 -- Linders-Barr (E) defeated Brendan Inboden-Blunier (R), 6-1, 6-0

No. 3 -- Ireland-Parker (R) defeated Mulheron-Heaton (E), 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), 11-9
