EHS Takes Win, St. A Suffers Tennis Loss

Effingham High School pushed it's overall mark to 3-1 with an 8-1 victory over Casey-Westfield in tennis action Tuesday.

The Hearts' Parker Siner, Ben Donsbach, Brennan Barr, Noah Mulheron, Zack Kietel and Jacob Sigg were winners in singles action.

EHS took two of the three doubles victories. Donsbach and Siner combined to win at No. 1 while Mulheron and Sigg claimed the No. 3 spot.

At Casey

Singles

No. 1 -- Parker Siner (E) defeated Luke Hunt (CW), 7-5, 6-2

No. 2 -- Ben Donsbach (E), defeated Gabriel Cochonour (CW), 2-6, 6-4, 6-4

No. 3 -- Brennan Barr (E) defeated Trey (Dale) Huisinga (CW), 6-2, 6-4

No. 4 -- Noah Mulheron (E) defeated Lucas Oakley (CW), 6-1, 6-1

No. 5 -- Zack Kietel (E) defeated Aden Garver (CW), 6-2, 7-5

No. 6-- Jacob Sigg (E) defeated Luke Richrds (CW), 6-4, 6-1

Doubles

No. 1 -- Donsbach-Siner (E) defeated Cochonour-Huisinga (CW), 6-1, 6-3

No. 2 -- Richards-Hunt (CW) defeated Barr-Keitel (E), 2-6, 6-76 (7-5), 10-8

No. 3 -- Mulheron-Sigg (E) defeated Dawson Dallape-Noah Livingston (CW), 6-0, 6-2

 

At St. Anthony

Charleston came calling and claimed a 7-0 victory over Effingham St. Anthony Tuesday.

Charleston swept through singles play with the toughest match at No. 1 as Keegan Gowin won 6-1, 5-7, 10-5

In doubles play, there were only two contested and Charleston won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 and 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2.
