Effingham Edges Paris in Tennis Action

Effingham High School edged Paris, 5-4 in boys tennis competition Thursday.

In singles play, Parker Siner claimed the No. 2 spot with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 victory. No. 3 Ben Donsbach won over his opponent, 6-3, 7-6.

Brennan Barr then claimed No. 4. Barr lost the opener 6-3 but came back 6-4, 6-6 (7-4).

Noah Mulheron finished out the fourth singles win at No. 5 with a 6-2, 6-3 count.

In doubles play, Donsbach and Siner teamed up for the fifth point and the win for the team, 7-5, 6-1.

No. 6 -- Caleb Lawson (P) defeated Colby Heaton (E), 6-4, 6-4

Doubles

No. 1 -- Donsbach-Siner (E) defeated Holloway-Graham (P), 7-5, 6-1

No. 2 -- Randolph-Minnis (P) defeated Barr-Linders (E), 6-2, 6-2

No. 3 -- Holzer-Lawson (P) defeated Zack Kietel-Mulheron (E), 6-0, 6-3
