MATTOON -- Teutopolis High School took second and Effingham 10th in the Mattoon Tennis Invitational Saturday.
Olney won the meet with 34 1/2 points, just edging T-town with 34. The top two were followed by Mattoon 27, Charleston 22, Champaign St. Thomas More 22, Mount Zion 20, Shelbyville 16 1/2, Casey-Westfield 15 1/2, Salem 14 1/2, Effingham 14, Mount Zion JV 3 and Mattoon JV 1.
Alli Brumleve took first place at the No. 2 singles while Logan Blankenship was second at No. 3 and Julia Hardiek third at No. 1. In doubles play, Nicole Deters and Diana Mossman tied for fifth at the No. 1 doubles while Elizabeth Will and Ali Kingery tied for fifth at No. 2 doubles.
