Teutopolis Tennis Players Headed To State

Members of the Wooden Shoes tennis team headed to the State Finals are, left to right, Kyele Mossman (singles), Joseph Esker (singles), Noah Pals (doubles) and Alex Probst (doubles).

Teutopolis High School will be sending two singles players and a doubles team to the State Tennis Finals Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Kyele Mossman, a sophomore, and Joseph Esker, a senior, will be competing in singles play. Mossman will take on Brandon Bodak, a sophomore from Rockford Keith Country Day Thursday at Wheeling.

Esker will face Dorath Chamarthi, a sophomore, from Normal University Thursday in opening round play at Hoffman Estates.

Noah Pals, a senior, and Alex Probst, a junior, will be competing as a doubles team. The pair will face Josh Cassaro, a senior, and Tommy Linkenheld, a junior, from Belvidere North. The match will take place at Palatine.

The tournament continues Friday and will finish out with finals Saturday.
