Bulldogs Drop Match, T-town Wins In Tennis

CASEY -- Casey-Westfield hosted Effingham St. Anthony and edged the Bulldogs 5-4 in tennis competition Tuesday.

The Bulldogs split wins with the Warriors in singles play. St. Anthony's Ryan Kruger picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2. Liam Hammer then took the No. 3 win, 6-4, 6-4. Nick Goeckner finished out at No. 6, winning 7-6, 7-5, 2-6, 6-2.

In doubles play, the Bulldogs won at the No. 2 spot as Andy Saba and Augustus Heal combined 6-4, 6-3.

Teutopolis blanked Paris to the tune of 9-0 and improved its record to 6-1 on the season.

Kyele Mossman, Joseph Esker, Noah Pals, Alex Probst, Alex Meinhart and Jacob Pals all claimed singles victories.

In doubles play, N. Pals and A. Probst combined to win, 6-2, 6-2; J. Pals and Seth Probst won 6-2, 6-4 and Meinhart and Corey Schabbing combined at No. 3 to win 6-3, 7-5.
