Newton Blanks Shelbyville

SHELBYVILLE -- Newton High School blanked Shelbyville 9-0 in girls tennis action Thursday.

Winning in singles were Rebecca Mier-y-leon, Kelsey Vahling, Hannah Dhom, Michaela Green, Stacie Purcell and Sarah Stewart.

In doubles play, Mier-y-leon and Vahling combined at No. 1 to win while Dhom and Green won at No. 2. Cummins and Jackson claimed the win at No. 3.
