CASEY -- Teutopolis High School captured third place in the Casey-Westfield Doubles Tennis Tournament Saturday. Flora won with 149 points followed by Charleston 123, Teutopolis 115, Mount Zion 112, Casey-Westfield 93, Robinson 76, Newton 53 and Paris 35.
T-town's Sarah Thoele and Taylor Hartke captured second place in the No. 3 doubles with 30 points. Allison Apke and Claire Hemmen placed second in the No. 4 doubles with 34 points. Lauren Hemmen and Kaitlin Deters were third in the No. 2 doubles with 29 points. Audra Breer and Christa Schwinke were fifth with 22 points at the No. 1 doubles.

Effingham competed in the Chatham Glenwood Invitational Saturday. The Hearts' Tori Sims and Ashley Workman captured third place in the No. 2 doubles.
In the No. 1 singles, Emma Kull took fourth place.
Kull defeated Kelly Allen (Rochester), 6-1, 2-6, 10-4; lost to Natalie Odin (Glenwood), 6-0, 6-0 and lost to Aliya Price (Mascoutah), 6-1, 6-1.
Sims and Workman beat Scobbie-Patel (Jacksonville), 6-4, 6-4; lost to Nair-Prabhu (Glenwood), 6-1, 6-1 and beat Harper-Nuding (Rochester), 7-6, 6-4.
In No. 2 singles, Savannah Blake lost to Payton Kent (Jacksonville), 6-2, 2-6, 10-5 and lost to Sarah Meidl (Quincy Notre Dame), 6-1, 6-3.
The No. 1 doubles team of Megan Allen and Kyra Bannister lost to Moore-Tracy (Quincy Notre Dame), 6-0, 6-0; lost to Yathapvtanon-Pierce (Southwest), 6-4, 4-6, 10-1 and lost to Josphe-Twibbs (Lincoln), 7-5, 6-3.
At Olney
St. Anthony edged Olney 5-4 in regular season action Saturday.
In singles play, the Bulldogs' Kelly Rentfrow won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 1. Mary Claire Wegman took the No. 4 spot, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (1) and Maryann Saba took the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles play, St. Anthony captured the top two spots to pull out the victory. Rentfrow and Anne Schutzbach were winners at No. 1, 6-4, 6-3. Tierney Hammer and Wegman took the second spot, 6-0, 6-0.
"It was a hard fought match," said St. Anthony Coach Darlene Esker. "All singles and doubles were long points."
