CHAMPAIGN -- Effingham St. Anthony competed in the Champaign Centennial Girls Tennis Invitational Saturday.

"All the girls played well for the first tournament of the season," said St. Anthony Coach Darlene Esker. "We are working on our game."

No. 1 Singles -- Kelly Rentfrow

Lost to Karns Biehl (Warren Township), 6-0, 6-1

Lost to Nina Heinkamp (Lincoln Way West), 6-2, 6-4

No. 2 Singles -- Anna Schutzbach (tied for fifth)

Won over Natalie Mahoy (Danville), 6-3, 6-1

Lost to Alex Melle (Warren Township), 6-0, 6-1

Won over Jen Warner (Wheaton Warren South), 6-3, 6-3

Won over Keely Lougeay (Belleville East), 6-3, 2-6, 10-7

No. 1 Doubles -- Tierney Hammer/Mary Claire Wegman

Lost to Gevauden/Christenson (Lincoln Way East), 6-3, 6-3

Lost to Coleman/Siveuright (Chicago Latin School), 6-1, 6-2

No. 2 Doubles -- Chloe Malone/Claire Wortman

Lost to Preetyman/Barron (Ottawa), 6-3, 6-3

Lost to Marble-Strader (Danville), 6-3, 6-7, 10-8
