All Area Players Eliminated from Boys Tennis State Meet

All area players were eliminated Thursday at the Boys Tennis State Meet in the Chicagoland area.
In singles, Frank Jansen of St. Anthony won 6-3, 7-6, and then lost, 6-0, 6-0, came back to win, 6-1, 6-4, but was then eliminated, 6-2, 6-2.
The other area singles player, Kyle Brumleve of Teutopolis, lost, 6-0, 6-1, but then won, 6-1, 7-6, but was then eliminated, 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles, Effingham's Isaac Foreman and Aaron Meyers lost 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 and then were eliminated, 6-0, 6-3.
Effingham's other doubles squad, Jared Minor and Jason Wohltman, won 6-4, 6-4, lost 6-0, 6-2, but then won 6-4, 6-2 before being eliminated 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
St. Anthony's doubles team of Jay Niebrugge and Scott Rentfrow lost 6-0, 6-2, then won 6-3, 6-2, and won 6-1, 6-4, before being eliminated 6-3, 6-2.
The Teutopolis doubles team of Andy Mersman and Nick Pals lost 6-0, 6-0, but then won 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 before being eliminated 6-2, 6-2.
The state tournament will continue through Saturday throughout Chicagoland.
