Shoes Push Tennis Record To 4-0

FLORA -- Teutopolis High School handed Flora an 8-1 loss in tennis competition Monday to improve to a perfect 4-0 on the season.
The Wooden Shoes swept the singles with Kyle Brumleve opening with a close 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 win at No. 1. Andy Mersman and Mitch Meinhart went 6-0, 6-0 against their opponents. Nick Pals claimed 6-0, 6-1 victories at No. 3 while Jacob Mette reversed that and went 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6. Trevor Lee downed his opponent 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles play, Flora won at No. 1 while T-town took the next two matches. Mersman and Meinhart combined to win 6-1, 6-1 while Mette and Lee went 6-0, 6-2.
