STRASBURG -- The score was tied at 1-1 after the first inning and 3-3 after three innings before Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg broke loose for a 7-3 high school softball win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Thursday.

The Hatchets tallied four runs in the fourth and that's all the scoring the rest of the contest for both teams.

Mya Friese led the hitting attack with two singles. Alaira Friese, Samantha Hayes, Kendra Hayes, Ellie Wittenberg and Katelyn VonBehrens added a single each. K. Hayes, Wittenberg and VonBehrens finished with an RBI each.

K. Hayes started the contest and went 2.1 innings. S. Hayes took the mound in the third and threw 4.2 innings allowing no runs on one hit, no walks while striking out eight for the win.

Layla  Deel led ALAH with two singles.
