Windsor/Stew-Stras Softball Wins In Five Innings

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg stepped out to a 4-0 opening inning lead and went on for a 13-1 high school softball win over Flora Thursday. The game ended in the fifth.

The Hatchets had eight hits in the contest led by Kendra Hayes with a single, double and four RBI, Alaira Friese with a single and triple, Zaida Wascher with a triple and two RBI, Samantha Hayes with two singles and Clarissa Johnson with a single and an RBI.

S. Hayes went the five innings on the mound. Hayes gave up one run on two hits, did not walk a batter and struck out six.

Windsor/Stew-Stras tacked on five more runs in the third and finished with four in the fourth.
