Joe's Pizza Wins Girls Prep League Tournament Crown

Joe's Pizza handed Spectrum Screen Graphics a 17-7 loss in the championship game of the Girls Prep Softball League Tournament Wednesday evening at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Joe's broke a 4-4 opening inning tie with a two-run second then had a seven-run third to take off towards the 10-run rule victory.

Taylor Armstrong pitched a four-hitter. Kaitlyn Kinkelaar hit two home runs in the game.

In the other games leading up to the title contest, Joe's defeated Effingham Truck Sales 17-2 and Spectrum outlasted Crossroads Bank 22-14.
