SIGEL -- Neoga and South Central were winners in the Class 1A Sigel St. Michael Softball Regional Saturday.
Neoga blanked Mattoon St. John's, 17-0 in three innings behind a 17-hit attack.
Denson had a single, double home, run and four RBI for the winners while M. Frankie had two singles, a home run and an RBI. R. Coy had a double and triple, K. Bell a home run and two RBI, E. McTeer two singles and three RBI, K. McKay three singles and an RBI and C. Frankie two singles.
In the second game, South Central downed Sigel St. Michael, 12-2 in six innings.
South Central was led by R. Williams with a home run and two RBI, A. Gile with two singles and two RBI and B. McDowell with a single and an RBI.
Neoga and South Central meet for the regional championship Tuesday.

Class 1A Hutsonville Regional
Dieterich advances in the Hutsonville Regional with an 11-1 victory over West Salem Saturday.
The game ended in the fifth via the 10-run rule as Dieterich banged out 12 hits.
K. Tegeler had a triple and an RBI while K. Stortzum and C. Faller had a single, double and an RBI each. A. Benefiel added a double and an RBI and L. Funneman a double.
L. Kreke picked up the win on the mound, going all five innings, allowing one run on four hits, no walks and striking out nine.

Class 2A St. Elmo Regional
St. Elmo/Brownstown advanced in its own regional Saturday while Altamont saw its season come to a close.
Altamont fell to Pana by a 7-0 count. Pana held a 1-0 opening inning lead, tacked on four in the third, one in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Altamont had only two hits, singles by P. Ort and A. Ruholl.
St. Elmo/Brownstown defeated Shelbyville Moulton, 9-4. and will take on Pana for the regional championship Tuesday.

Class 2A Teutopolis Regional
Cumberland advanced to the championship game of the Teutopolis Regional with a 14-8 victory over Teutopolis Saturday.
T-town held a 3-0 opening inning lead but Cumberland tallied back-to-back seven run innings to lead 14-3 and go on for a 14-8 victory.
The winners had six hits led by Brittlin Murphy and Kyndall Strohl with two singles each. Strohl had four RBI and Murphy two. Emi Brading added a double.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg blanked Arthur, 14-0.
Windsor/Stew-Stras will meet Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for the regional championship.

Class 3A Charleston Regional
Effingham handed host Charleston a 5-3 loss in the Charleston Regional Monday.
The Mustangs held a 2-0 lead in the second then tacked on three in the fourth. Charleston scored three in the seventh.
Effingham had 12 hits led by Cloie Bailey and Elizabeth Kreke with three singles each, Liv Koester with a single, double and three RBI, April Martin with a double and Kenley Moore with two singles and an RBI.
Jasper County blanked Monticello 3-0 in the first game Saturday.
Effingham and Jasper County will square off for the regional champoinship Tuesday.
