South Central ran out to a 12-0 lead on North Clay/Clay City and never looked back in an 18-2 win in three junior high softball innings Wednesday.

South Central tacked on six more in the second. North Clay/Clay City scored two in the third.

The winners had 10 hits led by Emmie Ruholl with a single, double and three RBI, Bella McDowell with a single, triple and two RBI and Teagan Cowger with a double and two RBI. Skylar Webster added two singles and an RBI while Claire Chasteen, Rylan Williams and Annie Ruholl had a single and an RBI each.

Chasteen picked up the pitching victory, allowing two runs on four hits, one walk while striking out four.

North Clay was led by B. Phillips with a double and J. Jordan and M. McCarty with a single and an RBI each.
