Two Area Coaches To Be Honored By ICA In Softball

Two area coaches were named in Class 2A. Effingham St. Anthony's Makayla Walsh will be honored for Sectional 7 and Newton's Sara Beam will be honored for Sectional 4.
Other 2A coaches named were:
Sectional 1 -- Brian Holman (Seneca), Sectional 2 -- Scott Durbin (Rockridge), Sectional 3 -- Will Capie (Carterville), Sectional 5 -- Frank Reaber (IC Catholic Prep), Sectional 6 -- Tim Fleming (North Boone) and Sectional 8 -- Ryan Patterson (Auburn).
In Class 1A, coaches named were Sectional 1 -- Jeana Block (Villa Grove), Sectional 2 -- Jon Wood (Newark), Sectional 3 -- Jeff Kinney (Dakota), Sectional 4 -- Renae Leander (Alwood/Cambridge Co-op), Sectional 5 -- Dalton McFarland (Casey-Westfield), Sectional 6 -- Greg Streeval (Meridian), Sectional 7 -- Travis Klingler (Carrollton) and Sectional 8 -- Lindsey Lox (Illini Bulffs).
In Class 3A, coaches named were Sectional 1 -- Adam Lewis (Ottawa), Sectional 2 -- Nicole Hayner (Pontiac), Sectional 3 -- Teagan Walsh (St. Laurence), Sectional 4 -- Dave Mello (Fenton), Sectional 5 -- Vondel Edgar (Glenwood), Sectional 6 -- Joy Neal (Marion), Sectional 7 -- Bill Hamill (Lakes) and Sectional 8 -- Donnie Ditmar (Sterling).
In Class 4A, coaches named were Sectional 1 -- Jessica Palos (Rockford Auburn), Sectional 2 -- Heather Ryan (Mundelein), Sectional 3 -- Eric Landschoot (Downers Grove North), Sectional 4 -- Alyssa Gunther (Andrew), Sectional 5 -- Mark Brown (Minooka), Sectional 6 -- Allie Ravanesi (Wheaton North), Sectional 7 -- John Teschner (Fremd) and Sectional 8 -- Kurt Schuett (Leyden).
The coaches of the year will be recognized at the 2025 ICA Banquet.
