Jasper County hosted Effingham St. Anthony and Oblong in a round robin softball tourney Saturday.

Jasper County claimed a 12-3 victory over Oblong behind a 13-hit count and two pitchers holding Oblong to one hit.

The winners' Layla Thomann went three innings for the pitching win, allowing three runs on one hit, two walks while striking out five. Mabry Wolf went the next four innings, allowing no runs on no hits while striking out three.

Meanwhile, Jasper County banged out 13 hits led by Kraegan Groves with a triple and two RBI, Kylie Bierman and Hailey Mulvey with two singles and two RBI each while Amelia Kennedy and Wolf had two singles each. Katie Jansen, Khloee Copper and Scarlett Meinhart had a single and an RBI each.

Oblong handed St. Anthony a 21-8 loss despite being outhit by a 12-8 count.

St. Anthony held a 3-1 opening inning lead and led 6-3 after two. But Oblong came back with nine runs each in the third and fourth innings to end the contest.

Mallory Litz had two singles, a home run and three RBI while Paylin Wilhour had two singles, a double and two RBI for the Bullpups. Cheyenne Barker added a single and two RBI.

Jasper County blanked St. Anthony 13-0 in four innings.

Jasper County ran out to a 7-0 opening inning lead. The winners finished with six hits led by Bierman with two singles and an RBI, Groves with a single and three RBI and Mulvey, Khloee Copper and Scarlett Meinhart with a single and an RBI each.

St. Anthony's lone hit was a single by Bella Schultz.

At Sullivan

Neoga produced 17 hits in a 14-4 win over Sullivan in a game that ended in the fifth Saturday.

Maddie Frankie went on a tear offensively with four of those 17 hits for Neoga. Frankie finished with three doubles, a home run and five RBI. Also garnering big hits were Lillian Denson with two doubles, a triple and two RBI, Chloe Frankie a single and two doubles, Reyna Coy added a single, triple and three RBI, Keeli McKay a single, double and two RBI, Maleah Coy a single and double, Lola Hartke a double and EmmaRee McTeer two RBI.

At Altamont

Greenville came calling and had an eight-run third inning and finished out with a 13-3 victory over Altamont Saturday.

Altamont held a 1-0 first inning lead but Greenville tied in the second then had an eight-run third and a four-run fifth for the win in five innings.

Altamont had five hits in the contest led by Alyssa Ruholl with a single, triple and an RBI and Tteegan Burrus with two singles and an RBI.
