Jasper County handed Effingham a 4-2 loss. Effingham took a 1-0 opening inning lead and led 2-0 after three frames. But Jasper County came back with two runs in the sixth and won the game with two in the seventh.
Jasper County had six hits led by H. Mulvey with two singles and an RBI, K. Groves with a double and M. Wolfe with a triple.
Mulvey also picked up the victory on the mound, going seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits, one walk while striking out 12.
Effingham was led by K. Smith with two singles and an RBI and M. Wilson with a double.

At Sigel
South Central pulled out a 4-3 victory over Sigel St. Michael Thursday in the bottom of the seventh.
St. Michael intentionally walked Emmie Ruholl to load the bases and Bella McDowell had a walk-off single to tally the winning run.
St. Michael held a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. South Central tied the score in the bottom of the third then moved ahead with runs in the fourth and the fifth. But the Sharpshooters tied in the top of the sixth with two runs before South Central pulled out the victory.
South Central banged out seven hits led by E. Ruholl with a single and triple, R. Williams with a triple and B. McDowell and C. Chasteen with a single and an RBI each.
Chasteen was the winning pitcher, allowing one run on one hit.

Neoga had a four-run seventh to claim a 6-3 victory over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Thursday.
WSS held a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning but Neoga tied in the top of the fifth. WSS then tallied a run in the bottom of the sixth to lead 3-2. But Neoga came back with a four-run seventh for the win.
Neoga had seven hits led by Maleah Coy with a double, triple and two RBI, Lillian Denson with a single, triple and an RBI, Maddie Frankie with two singles and Reyna Coy with a single and an RBI.
