The Maroons held a 1-0 lead in the fourth then tacked on two runs in the sixth for a 3-0 lead. Altamont came back with two runs in the bottom of the sixth only to fall short.
Dieterich did all this with only one hit, a double by E. Meinhart who also had an RBI.
Altamont committed three errors and gave up four walks.
Altamont had five hits led by Cecelia Pearcy with two singles and Kylie Osteen with a single and two RBI. The Indians' Grace Lemke suffered the tough-luck loss going all seven innings, allowing three runs on one hit, four walks while striking out 18.
Kinley Will went 5.2 innings for the win, giving up two runs on five hits, two walks and striking out seven.

Taegan Webster threw a no-hitter as South Central handed Wayne City a 17-0 loss in four innings Thursday.
Webster allowed one walk while striking out nine. Meanwhile, Webster also was on offensively with a triple, home run and five RBI.
Kaitlyn Swift had two singles and three RBI while Kyra Swift had two singles and two RBI. Lauren Johnson and Zoey Feldhake finshed with two singles and an RBI each. Amelia Montes had a double and an RBI. Kinlee Thompson and Percilla Reid had a single and an RBI each. Abi Shuler added an RBI.

Cumberland struck early and then held on for an 11-9 victory over Sullivan Thursday.
The Pirates held a 2-0 opening inning lead and led 9-4 after three. Cumberland added on two runs in the sixth to lead 11-6. Sullivan came back in the seventh with three runs only to fall short.
Cumberland banged out 18 hits in the contest. Libby McGinnis had two singles, a triple and drove in four runs while Avery Donsbach had two singles, a double and an RBI. Kenzie Claybaugh finished with a single, double and an RBI, Jade Carr four singles and an RBI, Ashton Tolen three singles, Jenna Hougham a double and an RBI and Jadalyn Sowers a single and an RBI.
Mia Holsapple threw an eight-hitter with two walsk and two strikeouts.

The Eagles took a 1-0 opening inning lead. Marshall tied in the fourth but Newton moved ahead with one in the fifth.
Newton had five hits led by Sally Mahaffey with a single, double and two RBI. Bailee Frichtl added two singles.
Amelia Collins went 6.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits. She did not give up a walk and struck out five.

The Bluestreaks took a 1-0 lead in the second and tacked on another run in the third. CHBC tied the score in the fourth but Martinsville regained the lead with two in the fifth. CHBC rallied in the sixth but only tallied one run to fall.
CHBC had six hits led by Marissa Summers with two singles and an RBI and Macee Rodman with a single and an RBI.

Robinson played host to Teuotpolis and sent the Wooden Shoes home with a 6-2 loss in Thursday action.
The Wooden Shoes held a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth but Robinson tallied two in the bottom of the frame. T-town tied in the top of the fifth but here came the Maroons again with four runs in the bottom of the inning and that's where the scoring ended.
T-town had four hits led by Olivia Wermert with a single and an RBI. Chloe Hoene added an RBI. Malea Helmink, Olivia Hemmen and Alyssa Tipton had a single each.
