S. Central Beats Altamont, Cumberland Falls In Softball

Taegan Webster kept the Indians off the basepaths with 15 strikeouts. She allowed only three hits and didn't give up a walk.
The Cougars finished with only two hits, singles by Webster and Amelia Montes. Altamont had two errors.
South Central scored two in the fourth and one in the sixth.
Grace Lemke was no slouch on the mound. She went six innings, giving up only two hits, four walks while striking out 17.
The lone hit for the Indians was a double by Cecelia Pearcy. Altamont dropped to 4-2 in the National Trail Conference and 11-7 overall.

At Marshall
Marshall banged out 15 hits in the contest and tallied a 16-6 win over Cumberland in five innings via the 10-run rule Wednesday.
Cumberland held a 3-2 opening inning lead and led 6-5 after two. But Marshall broke loose with an eight-run third and tacked on three more runs to end the game in the fifth.
The Pirates had eight hits led by Libby McGinnis with a double and two RBI, Noraa Cross with a single and two RBI, Jade Carr with two singles, two runs scored and two steals, Katie Kingery with a double and Avery Donsbach with a single and an RBI.
