The Bulldogs edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning then tacked on another run in the fourth. The next two innings were quiet before the Bulldogs struck again with four runs in the seventh.
Maddie Kibler and Laney Coffin had two singles and an RBI each in the Bulldogs nine-hit offense. Stacie Vonderheide added a double while Sydney Kibler and Lily Gannaway finished with a single and an RBI each.
Going seven innings, Addie Wernsing was the winner on the mound. She allowed five hits, gave up three walks and struck out four.
Mattoon was led by Hallee Perry with a single and double.

At Louisville
Dieterich put together a 10-hit attack and went on to down North Clay/Clay City, 11-2 Tuesday.
The two teams played to a 1-1 opening inning tie before Dieterich took off with a four-run second and tallied three runs in the third and fourth.
The Maroons finished with 10 hits while Kinley Will and Callie Faller combined to throw a two-hitter. Will picked up the victory going three innings allowing two runs on one hit, one walk while striking out four. Faller finished up the next four innings allowing one hit, two walks and striking out eight.
Kinley Michl put together an offense that included a single, two doubles and two RBI. Ella Kreke added a single, double and an RBI. Sammi Goebel finished with a double and two RBI and Ruby Westendorf a double and one RBI. Lucie Jansen added a single and an RBI.

South Central handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a 13-2 loss in Tuesday action.
The Cougars stepped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning then tallied three in the third and six in the fourth.
CHBC scored its two runs in the third.
South Central had 10 hits led by Taegan Webster with two singles, a triple and an RBI while Kyra Swift added two doubles and two RBI. Bri Buchanan had a double and three RBI and Ella Watwood a double and two RBI. Kaitlyn Swift, Kinlee Thompson and Amelia Montes finished with a single and an RBI each.
Thompson went five innings allowing two runs on seven hits, no walks while striking out five.
CHBC was led by Ryleigh Sarver with two singles and an RBI, Birgen Schlanser two singles and Macee Rodman a single and an RBI.

Altamont and Charleston went through three innings without a score, but the Trojans broke free with two in the fourth and went on for a 10-0 victory Tuesday.
Charleston had seven hits and committed four errors.
The Indians finished with four hits and three errors. Grace Lemke, Sophia Pearcy, Madison Tonn and Peyton Osteen had a single each.

Mount Zion opened with a 1-0 first inning lead and never looked back in a 9-2 victory over Cumberland Tuesday.
The Braves added on single runs in the third and seventh and two in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
The Pirates had five hits in the game led by Avery Donsbach with two singles. Katie Kingery added a single and an RBI.
Mount Zion banged out 10 hits and was aided by five Pirate errors.
